Job summary

GuideTech, a Palladyne AI subsidiary, seeks an Electronics Technician in Lenexa, KS, on-site. You’ll build and inspect electronic and electromechanical assemblies for advanced avionics and autonomous aerospace systems, following drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements with precision.

Work includes PCB and cable assembly, wiring, soldering, inspections, and documentation; you’ll collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams in a low-volume, high-mix environment,

Qualifications

• Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and basic technical documentation.
• Experience using common assembly hand tools, crimp tools, torque drivers, wire strippers, and soldering equipment.
• Experience with electronics or electromechanical assembly and cable assembly.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to distinguish wire colors and component identifiers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PCBs, cable harnesses, and electromechanical products per drawings.
• Crimp, solder, terminate wires and route connectors per specs.
• Install mechanical hardware and electronic components per procedures.
• Perform in-process and final visual inspections.
• Conduct production acceptance tests and basic functional checks.
• Maintain accurate travelers, labels, and inspection records.
• Identify nonconforming materials and report concerns.
• Follow safety, ESD/FOD, and quality procedures.
• Keep a clean, organized work area.
• Support process improvements and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.
