Job summary

Aetos Systems, Inc. on Merritt Island, FL is seeking an OTV Electronic Technician to fabricate, install, maintain, and repair Operational Television systems for spacecraft and security operations.

The role is represented by the IBEW union and requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to pass NASA background checks, and a valid Florida driver's license. Occasional training assistance and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Education in Electronics/Telecommunications/CS required; 1.5 years of related experience can substitute for 1 year of formal education.
• Four (4) years related experience or completion of a State or Military-approved bona fide work-related apprenticeship program.
• Must read and understand electronic schematics and have knowledge of electrical theory.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass NASA background investigation.
• Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and repair OTV-D communication systems for spacecraft and security operations.
• Install and maintain camera control systems (pan/tilt/zoom).
• Fabricate, troubleshoot, and operate fiber optics, CCTV, distribution systems, and related video surveillance equipment.
• Coordinate with other crafts to ensure job completion and assist with troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, schematics, and notes; maintain documentation and logs.
