Job summary

Aetos Systems, Inc. seeks a Communication Systems Engineer I to research, design, test, and oversee the installation of electrical communication systems at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This represented staff position with the IBEW Union.

Responsibilities include designing systems, collaborating with the AEGIS product team, and documenting work flows. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or CS, U.S. citizenship for NASA background checks, and Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a NASA background investigation.
• Must be able to pass an initial and random drug test.
• Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Design communications systems that support a wide variety of existing and future services as requested by the customer.
• Collaborate directly with AEGIS product team members, to provide a comprehensive solution to customer requests; develop solutions to routine problems under close supervision.
• Develop solutions to routine problems of limited scope under close supervision of Engineering lead/senior engineer team members.
• Process work documentation through prescribed processing software to provide work continuity, visibility and tracking to the customer and AEGIS team.
• Works under general supervision.
