Job summary

Chromalloy in Tampa, FL is seeking an Electronic Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and reliability of advanced manufacturing equipment used to process aerospace components. You will diagnose electrical and electronic systems, maintain high-vacuum coating equipment, and work with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to maximize equipment performance and uptime.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, electronics, or manufacturing equipment repair.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Working knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and instrumentation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
Maintain and support EBPVD coating equipment and high‑vacuum systems.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime.
Troubleshoot PLCs, CNC controls, motor controls, VFDs, power supplies, relay logic, sensors, and HMI interfaces.
Repair and maintain vacuum pumps, electron beam systems, cooling systems, and other process equipment.
Install, test, calibrate, and commission equipment to manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, calibration results, and equipment history.
Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and vendor service representatives to resolve equipment issues.
Assist with facility and production equipment maintenance as needed.
Participate in on‑call rotations, overtime, and occasional weekend support based on business needs.
