Job summary

Chromalloy Carson City is seeking an Electronic Technician to keep our manufacturing equipment running. This hands-on role troubleshoots, repairs, tests, and maintains electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across the shop.

You’ll work with laser systems, control systems, and instrumentation, diagnosing problems and getting critical aerospace equipment back in service safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or apprenticeship required.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• PLC and computer-based controls experience a strong plus.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Safety-minded and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electronic systems including controls and PLC equipment.
• Install and test control systems and production equipment.
• Support laser systems and applications.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Read diagrams and ladder logic.
• Use DMM and oscilloscopes for testing.
• Order parts to manufacturer specs.
• Follow OSHA startup/shutdown procedures.
• Maintain performance and maintenance records.
• Ensure safety procedures and ISO/TCS quality requirements.
• Provide technical support across manufacturing areas.
