Amentum in Houston, TX, seeks an Electronic Fabricator II to build and repair electromechanical assemblies for NASA projects, following drawings and procedures in a lab or production environment. The role requires precision soldering, cable/harness fabrication, and adherence to ESD/FOD practices.

Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience, with advanced soldering (through-hole and SMT) and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience.
• Knowledge of reading Electronic Fabrication Drawings and detailed Fabrication Procedures.
• ESD, FOD and stock handling practices.
• Experience in an Electromechanical Laboratory environment and safety procedures.
• Soldering through-hole and SMT at an advanced level.
• Ability to plan and work with little oversight.

Responsibilities

• Perform work based on sketches, drawings, and schematics.
• Follow procedures and work instructions and keep records up to date.
• Assemble and repair PCBs, perform de-misturization, masking and conformal coating.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair cables, harnesses, and wiring.
• Carry out electromechanical assembly tasks and related duties.
• Participate in flight hardware builds in a production lab.
• Modify/repair off-the-shelf hardware as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and lab compliance.
