Job summary

RTX performs a hardware engineering role in Puerto Rico with a hybrid onsite/offsite arrangement. The role focuses on circuit design, test system development, and multi‑discipline collaboration to deliver Collins products for advanced communication systems.

You will work on requirements capture, schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and test plan creation while coordinating with engineers and customers. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Perform circuit design lifecycle activities, including requirements capture, schematic capture, design documentation, circuit design analysis like Performance, Stability, ESD/Lightning, Decoupling and Signal/Power Integrity analysis, creation of board stack‑up and routing instructions, coordination and review of printed wiring board layout, creation of test plans, root cause analysis, and integration.
• Design, develop, and integrate Collins products within the communication systems and test solutions in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics, circuit designs, and analysis.
• Contribute to the completion of all stages of communication system and test system development. Asist managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to develop proven hardware de‑signs that meet system performance and operational specifications.
• English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co‑workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
