Job summary

Ascent Aerospace seeks an experienced electrical technician to wire automated systems, install panels, troubleshoot, and repair. Responsibilities include wiring, powering, and debugging control panels on large integration programs with potential travel to customer sites.

Qualifications include at least 2 years of electrical experience, ability to read electrical/ Pneumatic/ Hydraulic blueprints, and an understanding of NFPA/ NEC/ UL standards. ITAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Must meet Export Control Compliance requirements (US Person).
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least 2 years electrical experience.
• Associates degree in Electrical or related field preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Maintain knowledge of NFPA, NEC, UL 508, IEC and CE related to control panels.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and repair electrical systems of industrial machinery.
• Follow electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints/schematics and wiring diagrams (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment; connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Wire machines, run conduit, build control panels.
• Run pneumatic lines to valves and cylinders.
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and repair/replace.
• Ensure the safety of the electrical systems.
• Repair or replace wires, cables or fixtures/equipment using hand tools.
• Perform troubleshooting; start up and de-bug of machinery.
• Travel to customer facilities for machine installations and service.
