Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years in engineering and design of aircraft wiring.
  • Experience using 3D CAD software and electrical routing modules.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Catia, and wiring CAD tools.
  • Hands-on experience fabricating, installing, and inspecting harnesses.

Responsibilities

  • Wire harness routing and installation design using 3D CAD (Siemens NX)
  • Follow industry best practices for wire harness design and installation.
  • Select parts to suit design requirements.
  • Position components to optimize routing for safety and weight.
  • Provide installation instructions for harness integration into the Aircraft.
  • Create inspection criteria for manufactured and installed components.
  • Manage changes to components throughout aircraft lifetime.
  • Explore alternative solutions and custom parts for tight areas.
