Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to design, develop, and qualify brushless DC motor controllers for aerospace actuation and motor control systems. You will work across electrical, software, systems, and mechanical teams to ensure successful integration in safety-critical environments.

The role requires expertise in power electronics, embedded control, and aerospace certification processes, with MATLAB/Simulink modeling, FPGA/microcontroller architectures, and rigorous verification

Qualifications

• Design and develop brushless DC motor control systems for aerospace applications.
• Safety-critical embedded systems development and verification.
• Knowledge of ARP4754A/ARP4761 and aerospace standards.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink modeling and control design.
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI, testing, and qualification processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and qualify motor controller hardware.
• Collaborate across electrical, software, systems, and mechanical teams.
• Develop verification and validation plans; execute qualification testing.
• Create engineering docs, test reports, and certification records.
• Support FAA/military or aerospace certification programs.
