Job summary

Epic Aircraft, located in Bend, Oregon, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer I or II to design, develop, and document aircraft electrical systems and cable assemblies in compliance with Epic standards and regulatory requirements.

The role involves creating wiring diagrams, 2D/3D design models, and supporting from concept through production. Candidates should have a foundational electrical background and strong problem-solving skills, ready to work in a hands-on aerospace environment in Bend.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Foundational electrical principles and circuit design.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with engineering design and documentation practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop aircraft electrical systems, cable harnesses, and installation drawings.
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D electrical models and documentation.
  • Apply engineering principles to electrical system and cable design.
  • Ensure installations meet FAA regulations and aerospace standards.
  • Support development from concept through production and product improvement.
  • Provide engineering support to Production and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to meet requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and documentation.
