Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Director of Environmental Health and Safety to lead the development and execution of EHS strategies for a new aerospace fastener manufacturing facility.

Based at a Greenfield site, the role requires building and leading a small EHS team and collaborating with engineering, operations, HR, and supply chain to embed EHS in design, construction and ramp-up while ensuring compliance and sustainability goals are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental compliance and industrial hygiene.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing regulations and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead EHS programs in high-growth environments.
• Strong project management, planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience developing and mentoring EHS professionals.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive environmental strategy aligned with regulations.
• Lead environmental planning including air emissions, water conservation, hazardous waste, energy efficiency.
• Oversee permitting processes and reporting.
• Integrate sustainability goals into facility design and operations.
• Launch site-wide health and safety programs and training.
• Conduct risk assessments during construction and operation phases.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, HR to embed EHS in design and ramp-up.
• Ensure ISO 14001 and other EMS are maintained and improved.
• Manage and develop EHS staff and coordinate cross-functional teams.
