Job summary

Firehawk Aerospace is seeking a Dynamics/Environment Analysis Engineer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on predicting, characterizing, and validating dynamic environments for SRMs and Rockets, translating analyses into practical design recommendations.

The engineer will collaborate with structural, mechanical, systems, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure performance and qualification requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or structural engineering.
• 5+ years in structural dynamics, vibration, acoustics, or environmental analysis.
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS/Abaqus/NASTRAN) and test data correlation.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural dynamics analyses using FEA tools like ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN.
• Conduct modal, frequency-response, random-vibration, transient-response, and shock analyses.
• Develop and evaluate PSD, SRS, and acceleration predictions.
• Characterize environments for components and systems per requirements.
• Support design reviews with analysis-driven recommendations on stiffness and damping.
• Develop test requirements, instrumentation plans, and data acquisition needs.
