Firehawk Aerospace in Texas is seeking a Dynamics/Environment Analysis Engineer to predict, characterize, and validate dynamic environments for SRMs and Rockets. The role requires a strong background in structural dynamics, vibration, shock, acoustics, and environmental testing, with the ability to translate analytical results into practical design recommendations.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in structural dynamics, vibration, acoustics or environmental analysis.
• Experience with FEA and correlating models to test data.
• ITAR/compliance knowledge and ability to work in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural dynamics analyses using FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN).
• Conduct modal, frequency response, random vibration, sine vibration, transient response, and shock analyses.
• Develop and evaluate PSDs, shock spectra, and acceleration predictions.
• Predict and characterize mechanical, vibration, acoustic, and shock environments for components and systems.
• Support design reviews with analysis-driven recommendations for configuration, stiffness, isolation, and damping.
