Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Drafting & Design Engineer for a 6+ months contract in West Des Moines, IA. The role pays $37-$42 per hour on a W2 basis and requires hands-on experience with SolidWorks, PLM/PDM, and GD&T in an aerospace manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will work with ERP/MES environments, perform 3D modeling and tooling design, and bring knowledge of hydraulics and welding/brazing processes. US Person status is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience with PLM/PDM/PLM systems.
• Experience with ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standard.
• Experience with manufacturing in an Aerospace environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience with tool design & 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
• Working knowledge of drafting principles & GD&T.
• Working knowledge of ERP and MES systems (SAP preferred).
• Working knowledge of part joining processes (welding & brazing).
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• US Person status required.
