Job summary

Fortner Engineering in Burbank, CA is seeking a Disassembly Technician to disassemble and clean aircraft actuator assemblies under supervision. You will read work orders, manuals, and drawings to prepare parts for inspection and ensure timely completion of tasks.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment, and the capacity to wear a respirator.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of relevant experience in MRO.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and understand work orders and drawings; use manuals and maintenance documents.
Capable of using hand tools and other precision measuring equipment.
Must be able to wear a respirator while performing work.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Readiness to work overtime as required by production.

Responsibilities

Disassembles to clean parts to prepare them for subsequent inspection.
Reads and interprets work orders, travelers, maintenance manuals, and drawings.
Capable of using hand assembly and test tools and other precision measuring equipment.
Maintains safe and clean work environment and adheres to FAA/company policies.
