Job summary

CPP Corporation in Albany, OR is seeking a Dimensional Inspector with prior experience. The role measures castings to meet blueprint specifications, inspects welds and alterations, and prepares parts for finishing CNC work. Minimum 1 year experience required; must read blueprints, use measurement tools, and pass pre-employment checks. HS diploma or GED required; lifting up to 50 lbs may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prior inspection experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprint specifications with on-the-job training.
• Basic high-school level math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Able to use small, fine tools.
• Good attendance record.
• Must understand measurements and use measurement tools correctly.
• Must work well in a team and be self-motivated.
• Able to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• HS diploma or GED required, but relevant experience considered.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Solid job history with more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measure parts and visually inspect castings for defects and mark appropriately.
• Inspect corrective welds, blends, and alterations to ensure dimensional compliance.
• Place castings in a fixture to set up for finishing CNC machining.
• Inspect and approve in-process visual final dimensional specifications.
