Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly motivated Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in El Segundo, CA. You will contribute to the design, verification, and validation of airborne radar hardware, working on RTL development, FPGA/ASIC design, and the use of industry-standard EDA tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field obtained by start date.
• Experience with digital logic design fundamentals and RTL design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital hardware blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL
• Develop RTL for FPGA/ASIC-based systems
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews
• Create and execute simulation testbenches for functional verification
• Debug RTL, simulation, synthesis, and hardware integration issues
• Collaborate with verification, physical design, firmware, and system engineering teams
• Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and silicon validation activities
• Analyze timing, area, power, and performance tradeoffs
• Document designs, test plans, and engineering results
• Learn and apply industry-standard EDA tools and design methodologies
