Job summary

Extex Engineered Products in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to contribute to the engineering of aerospace components and systems, including turbines, blades, nozzles, vanes, and gear assemblies.

The role involves creating drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks, writing substantiation packages and FAA reports, and effectively managing PMA projects to meet schedules while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience with knowledge of aerospace standards.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and regulatory bodies.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Design engineer for aerospace components and assemblies (turbines, blades, nozzles, vanes, gears).
• Create drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks for new and reverse-engineered parts.
• Write substantiation packages and FAA reports for certification.
• Manage multiple PMA projects through design, procurement, testing, and certification.
• Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality teams and vendors to deliver results.
• Maintain design records and participate in MRB and design reviews.
• Support safety procedures and continuous process improvements.
