Legion Technical Solutions is seeking a System Safety Engineer 2 to support a leading aerospace and defense client in Massachusetts. You will apply MIL-STD-882E System Safety engineering to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop safety requirements across the lifecycle.

Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Software, Electrical, and Test teams to implement safety controls, review procedures, and ensure compliance in a fast-paced, mission-critical program onsite in MA.

Competenze

• Experience with MIL-STD-882 / MIL-STD-882E and hazard analysis.
• Ability to analyze electrical/hardware design drawings.
• Experience in safety verification and validation.

Mansioni

• Perform MIL-STD-882 activities involving management, analysis, evaluation, and verification.
• Analyze hardware, drawings, and schematics for fault tolerance and safety compliance.
• Assist with hazard identification, risk assessment, and controls development.
• Develop concise, testable safety requirements and analyze existing ones.
• Review test, operating, and maintenance procedures for safety controls.
• Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Software, Electrical, Test, and other disciplines.
• Work with IPTs to mitigate hazards without compromising performance.
• Support Safety Assessment Reports and other technical documents.
• Participate in technical reviews and customer safety approvals; interface with stakeholders.
• Interpret system requirements and applicable military standards.
