Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Irvine, CA is seeking a Production Assembler 2 (Blue Room) to perform medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. The role requires reading blueprints, following established precedents, and maintaining ESD controls and proper bonding techniques.

The position offers exposure to high voltage potting and testing, and requires 3+ years of related electronics assembly experience with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of related electronics assembly experience.
• J-STD-001 certification is preferred.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain security clearance.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements in common units.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and collaborate with Quality, Production Control and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work.
• Follow established precedents and procedures while handling classified assemblies.
• Read basic blueprints and work instructions; ensure adherence to torque requirements and testing procedures.
• Operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multimeters, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns and related hand tools.
• Maintain ESD controls, proper bonding, epoxy mixing and packaging techniques.
• Adhere to safety, drug-free workplace policies and export compliance requirements.
