Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Technician for a permanent role in Stamford, CT. You will work in a modern facility supporting aerospace, defense, and medical products, handling assemblies, soldering, debugging field returns, and calibrations.

You’ll join a close-knit, high-performance team focused on quality and customer service. The role requires hands-on electronics/electro-mechanical experience, IPC-A-610 soldering proficiency, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Technician training with ~3 years on-the-job electronics/electro-mechanical experience.
• AS degree or equivalent technical education in electronics is required.
• Completion of ESD and FOD training is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic assembly including wire harnesses and PCB assembly.
• Carry out SMT soldering and rework with IPC-A-610 standards.
• Read schematics and drawings to support assembly, repair, and testing.
• Support engineering and production with complex assembly tasks and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose, repair, and rework PCBs and perform circuit testing.
• Test and calibrate sophisticated electronic equipment to meet specs.
• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical prototypes, including optical assemblies.
• Use test equipment and data acquisition tools to evaluate product performance.
