Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. in Playa Vista seeks a hands-on Cybersecurity Architect to own security design across our infrastructure.

You will work with IT, Engineering and Operations to embed security into the design from the start, and guide technical implementations with clear architecture documentation. You will translate NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements into practical designs, partner with CrowdStrike, Tenable, SIEM and endpoint tools, and drive secure access, network segmentation

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, cloud security, infrastructure security or cybersecurity architecture.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2; ability to map control requirements to technical implementations.
• Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams, security standards and technical decisions for engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Create security architecture for corporate and development environments.
• Translate NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements into technical designs and implementation steps.
• Work with CrowdStrike, Tenable, SIEM and endpoint tools to identify and remediate gaps.
• Support ATO and other security activities with architecture documentation and control implementations.
• Facilitate discussions with network and infrastructure teams on Palo Alto architecture, segmentation, remote access and rule design.
• Define CUI boundaries, network diagrams and data flows as systems evolve.
