Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Wichita Falls, TX seeks a Coating/Furnace (CVD) Operator to repair the hot sections of engines in our FAA-regulated facility. The role may train on a different shift for up to 6 months before moving into the regularly scheduled 3rd shift, 11pm-7am, 5x8 hour days.

You will assist with plating, blasting, and the ultrasonic cleaning line, loading/unloading furnace runs, surveys, TPMs, and maintain documentation while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Furnace/large equipment and aerospace/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Preventative maintenance experience is highly preferred.
• Basic/intermediate computer skills are expected.
• Knowledge of furnace operation, alarms and troubleshooting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Plating, Blasting and the Ultrasonic Cleaning Line.
• Loading/Unloading of furnace runs including loading parts, daisies, retort, leak checks and furnace.
• Set up and perform/ tear down surveys.
• Process gas container maintenance and change over.
• Be able to use the instrument data to control the reaction.
• Training of new CVD Operators.
• In depth TPMs of all CVD equipment according to TPM and cleaning schedules.
• Able to pay attention to the instruments that are giving feedback on the progressing chemical reaction.
• Maintenance, Inspection and loading of halide generators.
• Maintain proper electronic and paper documentation.
