Job summary

Davis Machine & Manufacturing in Euless, TX is seeking a Staff Engineer for Customer Engineering in aerospace machining. The role focuses on serving as the technical representative to aerospace customers, handling nonconformance dispositions and engineering communications with prime and tier-1 manufacturers.

The position reports to the Engineering Manager and requires extensive experience with engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and PMI/MBD, plus ITAR/EAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in aerospace manufacturing engineering, with direct experience at prime or tier-1 suppliers.
• Fluency in engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and PMI/MBD.
• Working knowledge of prime supplier portals, forms, and quality flowdown requirements.
• US person as defined under ITAR/EAR.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering liaison between customer engineering and Davis engineering group.
• Prepare and submit formal engineering reports and dispositions for customer review.
• Build the technical case for nonconformance and deviation dispositions with Quality.
• Review incoming new work for risk, difficulty, and flowdown requirements.
• Maintain customer portal access and engineering contacts to avoid single-point failures.
