Job summary

Precise Aerospace Manufacturing Inc. in Yorba Linda, CA is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for customer requests and internal projects. The role analyzes drawings, labor, materials, and processes to ensure competitive pricing while protecting profitability and delivery requirements.

The Estimator collaborates with engineering, production, purchasing and sales teams to support business objectives. Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, $27/hr DOE, on-site role in Yorba Linda.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred
• Previous Estimator experience in manufacturing/aerospace environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/Estimating systems
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for RFQs, new projects, and existing programs
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine labor, material, tools, and overhead cost
• Develop and maintain accurate estimating models, routing, and pricing documentation
• Analyze historical data and production standards to support reliable cost projections
• Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to validate assumptions and timelines
• Request and evaluate supplier and vendor quotes for materials, outside processing, and tooling
• Participate in contract reviews and pricing discussions as needed
