Job summary

MAPP Technologies is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop accurate costing data by reviewing RFQs, drawings, CAD models, and specifications, and by building detailed costing models covering labor, materials, tooling, setup, cycle times, and overhead.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field with aerospace/CNC background.
• 3+ years cost estimating in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP and estimating tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, engineering drawings, CAD models, and specs to develop cost estimates.
• Create and maintain detailed costing models including labor, materials, tooling, setup, cycle times, and overhead.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to validate assumptions and ensure manufacturability.
• Prepare clear cost breakdowns for internal review and decision-making.
• Improve the estimating process by identifying cost drivers and opportunities.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases to support quoting and forecasting.
• Support leadership and sales with data-driven cost justifications.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements.
