Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Conventional Machinist for first shift (Mon-Fri 5:30 AM–2:00 PM). Overtime and weekend work may be required.

The role involves setting up and operating conventional machine tools to produce precision parts, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet tolerances. You will use lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, inspect parts with micrometers and calipers, and collaborate with engineering to optimize manufacturing

Formación

• 1+ year training in conventional machining with hands-on experience operating manual equipment
• Knowledge of inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) and safety procedures; understanding of GD&T
• Ability to work quickly and accurately with attention to detail; good verbal and written communication
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsabilidades

• Machine parts to specifications using conventional lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders, or drill presses
• Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
• Set up, adjust, and operate conventional machine tools and attachments
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine methods and sequences of operations
• Monitor feed and speed of machines and ensure proper tool selection
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to optimize processes
