Eaton’s Aerospace division in Middlesex, NC is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, specify and implement electrical systems for production equipment. The role focuses on machine guarding, safety, PLC logic, and data-driven process improvements.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 2+ years in automation engineering or 1 year with internships, plus PLC programming experience. On-site at Middlesex facility with relocation support for qualified US candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
2+ years of automation engineering experience in a manufacturing environment or 1 year plus internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
1+ years experience programming PLCs.

Responsibilities

Design and implement electrical systems to support production equipment and manufacturing processes.
Define safety and machine guarding standards and roll out plans.
Develop PLC logic to collect data and enable process improvements.
Support electrical safety programs and MES/Industry 4.0 initiatives in Middlesex plant.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and suppliers to deliver projects.
