Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an Aerospace Equipment and Tooling Design Engineer in Auburn, WA to investigate and develop concepts and specifications for aerospace product design and build requirements. You will participate in design reviews, create drawings and models, and prepare specifications and purchase requests for new equipment.

You will ensure safety, manufacturability, reliability and regulatory compliance while documenting maintenance plans and training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Electric motor and encoder experience.
• Drive terrain/steer experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and develops equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
• Performs tool liaison activities to support tool fabrication and production use
• Participates in design reviews, collects design requirements, creates and revises drawings and models to support the build plan.
• Creates specifications and purchase requests for the acquisition of new equipment and tooling from external vendors
• Checks designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and documents equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and supports user training development.
• Manages budgets and schedules to deliver equipment and tooling solutions to customers
