Job summary

Heven AeroTech in Winchester, VA, seeks a Composites Technician to fabricate and assemble composite parts and airframe structures in an aerospace setting, including carbon fiber layups and resin infusion. Strong craft-level skills and safety are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with advanced fabrication and assembly of composite parts and airframe structures.
• Experience with composite layup using wet layup, prepreg, and vacuum bagging (carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar).
• Experience with resin infusion processes (VARTM, RTM).
• Produce adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and nonmetallic materials.
• Handle, mix, and apply epoxy resin systems per MSDS.
• Read and interpret blueprints and process specifications; document work orders.

• Perform advanced fabrication and assembly of composite parts, subassemblies, and airframe structures.
• Execute composite layup using wet layup, prepreg, and vacuum bagging techniques.
• Perform resin infusion processes (VARTM, RTM) per engineering specs.
• Produce adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and nonmetallic materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and process specifications; document results.
