Firefly Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join the Structures Department in Texas.

You will develop tooling and fixtures for composite components, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and push for cost-effective, high-quality production processes. You will collaborate across design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement new manufacturing methods, ensure schedules are met, and maintain rigorous quality control.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in carbon fiber composite aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software for tooling/fixturing designs.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Track record of driving process improvements in fast-paced environments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and development of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment for composite components.
• Improve processes, tooling, and fixtures to increase efficiency, quality and reduce costs.
• Own hardware development and maintain production schedules.
• Develop innovative tooling/fixturing solutions to boost efficiency and quality.
• Serve as primary expert on hardware fabrication and implementation on the floor.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure smooth integration.
• Create detailed work instructions and standardize manufacturing processes.
• Address nonconformances with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product integrity.
• Champion Lean and Six Sigma principles across production activities.
