Job summary

JGA Space & Defense - JGMS LLC in Huntersville, NC is hiring six Aerospace Composite Technicians for first and second shifts to support advanced composite fabrication, layup and inspection activities for aerospace, space, and defense programs.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience in composite manufacturing, can read engineering drawings, and work safely in a regulated environment; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; shift options available with differential on second shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of composite manufacturing experience.
• Experience with vacuum bagging and composite layup techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform composite layup of prepregs, dry fibers, honeycomb cores, and other materials according to drawings and work instructions.
• Execute vacuum bagging, debulking, curing, and autoclave/hydroclave processing operations.
• Prepare molds, tooling, fixtures, and materials for fabrication activities.
• Trim, drill, sand, route, machine, and finish composite components to tolerances.
• Perform adhesive bonding and assembly of composite structures and subassemblies.
• Operate cutting, trimming, and fabrication equipment safely.
