Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a production team in composite layup, bonding, curing, painting, and assembly within a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery by coordinating daily activities, mentoring staff, and improving processes in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in composite manufacturing, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of composite manufacturing processes (vacuum bagging, autoclave/oven curing, bonding, assembly, painting, machining).
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the production team in composite layup, bonding, curing, trimming, painting, and assembly processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet delivery deadlines.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to specifications, work instructions, and AS9100/ISO standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
• Lead shift meetings and promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Train and mentor employees on composite manufacturing techniques and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and attendance.
