Job summary

Heven AeroTech in the United States specializes in hydrogen-powered drones and aerospace components. The Composite Technician role performs complex fabrication and assembly of composite parts and airframe structures in both manufacturing environments, including adhesive bonded assemblies.

Responsibilities include composite layup, epoxy resin handling, autoclave operations, precision measurement, and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and process specs.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Experience with composite layup using wet layup, prepreg, and vacuum bagging.
• Experience with epoxy resin systems per MSDS.
• Ability to operate autoclaves and oven cure cycles.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced fabrication and assembly of composite parts and airframe structures.
• Execute composite layup using wet layup, prepreg, and vacuum bagging techniques (carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar).
• Produce adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and nonmetallic materials.
• Handle, mix, and apply epoxy resin systems in compliance with MSDS requirements.
• Operate and monitor autoclave and oven cure cycles; manage prepreg material storage and handling.
• Demold, trim, sand, drill, and finish composite parts to tight engineering tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and process specifications.
• Complete accurate documentation of work orders and inspection results.
• Maintain PPE, 5S, and FOD prevention standards.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cost, and delivery.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and production planning teams.
