Job summary

The Structures Company in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to lead the design and development of aerospace composite structures. You will create and review 3D models, laminate schedules, ply stacks, and perform structural analyses with the stress team to ensure strength, stiffness, and damage tolerance.

Collaborating with manufacturing, tooling, quality, and supply chain, you will ensure design-for-manufacturability and a smooth transition into production, while

Qualifications

• U.S. Person to comply with ITAR requirements.
• Experience in aerospace composite structures is required.
• Strong CAD/FEA proficiency and materials knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of aerospace composite structures and components.
• Create and review 3D models, drawings, and release packages.
• Develop laminate schedules, ply stacks, and stack-ups for load cases.
• Perform structural analysis with stress engineering to validate requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, quality, and supply chain for manufacturability.
• Support prototypes, FAI, and production ramp activities.
