Job Details

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline required; master's degree preferred.
• Experience in composite structural design or a closely related engineering role.
• Extensive experience designing composite structures and components, preferably within the aerospace industry.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, engineering drafting, and design release using CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of composite materials, laminate theory, ply orientation, laminate schedules, ply books, and composite stack-ups.
• Experience with structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA), including strength, stiffness, fatigue, and damage tolerance considerations.
• Experience applying design-for-manufacturability principles and working directly with manufacturing teams in a production environment.
• Familiarity with composite manufacturing processes, such as autoclave curing, out-of-autoclave processing, and resin transfer molding.
• Familiarity with aerospace structural requirements, certification activities, and quality management systems such as AS9100.
• Experience supporting prototype development, first article inspections, production launches, and engineering issue resolution.
• Ability to develop and maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, and configuration management records.
• Strong engineering judgment and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Project management experience preferred
• Aerospace-specific composite design experience strongly preferred.
