Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Corrosion Control Technician to apply and maintain coating systems protecting critical ground support equipment. You will identify, remove, and treat corrosion, prepare surfaces, and apply coatings to meet strict quality standards in a demanding production schedule.

Responsibilities include sandblasting, spray coating, operating air tools and pumps, and performing corrosion control on carbon and stainless steel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 2+ years in corrosion control, painting, or sand blasting in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Sandblast to industry standards.
• Operate spray coating equipment to standard.
• Operate air tools, pressure feed tanks, and airless pumps.
• Quality brush and roll coatings.
• Perform corrosion control on carbon/stainless steel using pneumatic tools and scalers.
• Safely operate aerial platforms, forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Identify hazards and mitigate risk before work starts.
