Job Description

We invite qualified candidates to consider a rewarding opportunity as a 5-Axis CNC Programmer/Operator. This role involves the setup, operation, and utilization of our 4/5-axis milling machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret work instructions, including fixture alignment, tooling specifications, and part loading guidance.
  • Support programming to ensure effective use of programs and tools.
  • Work with travelers, blueprints, setup sheets, drawings, and verbal instructions for task execution.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and plug gauges to maintain quality.
  • Inspect manufactured components to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Set up and verify machine programs; manage production runs as needed.
  • Suggest modifications to improve existing programs.
  • Collaborate with operators and troubleshoot machine issues.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple setups and short-run jobs effectively.
  • Experience working with materials like Inconel, Titanium, Steel, and Aluminum.
  • Knowledge of calculating feeds and speeds based on cutter and material types.
  • Experience with threading and drilling is preferred.
  • Experience in hogging out aluminum billets is required.
Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of machining experience on a vertical milling center.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees must meet physical demands such as sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, and occasional bending. The work environment may involve noise, moving mechanical parts, hazardous chemicals, and varying building conditions.

Work Schedule:

8-hour shifts: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm

Compensation:

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, with annual performance reviews for potential increases.
