Qualifikationen

• NC programming using CATIAPreferred, MasterCam required
• Experience with VeriCut machine simulation and verification software
• Working knowledge of aerospace models, drawings and specs
• 3+ years CAD/CAM experience programming aerospace structural components from metallic materials
• Knowledge of CNC machine controls and G-code

Aufgaben

• Develop programs to control contour-path machining of metal parts on 3- to 5-axis machines.
• Program fixtures and create drawings and BOMs for tool construction.
• Create CNC programs and tooling concepts to meet production specs.
• Analyze drawings to determine tool paths, cutting tools, speeds and feeds.
• Ensure conformance to procedures and quality levels.
• Collaborate with shop floor leadership on new product development.
• Create setup documents including tool requirements and CNC programs.
• Continuously improve cutting methods to reduce cost and improve quality.
• Suggest design changes to simplify tooling and reduce cost.
• Maintain records and report task progress and backlog.
