Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Torrance, CA is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Operator to set up, operate and troubleshoot CNC tools in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will read blueprints, follow work orders, run multiple machines, and help maintain safety with 5S practices and LOTO, contributing to high quality parts.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Understanding of cutting tools and must know G and M codes.
• Must know basic troubleshooting.
• Must be able to move and lift up to 30 lbs (per EHS policies).

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot CNC machines per program and tool layouts.
• Follow work orders and verbal instructions to produce parts.
• Run multiple machines as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace according to 5S standards.
• Actively participates in Autonomous Maintenance and preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Check all work with measuring tools and make offsets/edits as required.
