PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in aerospace parts manufacturing to recruit an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Torrance, CA. You’ll translate engineering requirements into efficient machining processes, optimize programs, tooling, and workholding for high-precision aluminum aerospace components.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Experience using Siemens NX CAM programming software.
• Experience machining aluminum aerospace components.
• Knowledge of workholding fixtures and cutting tool selection.
• Understanding CNC machining processes and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize NC programs for aerospace components using Siemens NX programming software.
• Program and support 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling operations.
• Analyze geometry, materials, workholding, and machine capabilities to maximize efficiency.
• Design and develop workholding fixtures and select cutting tools for aerospace machining.
• Determine tooling, materials, and machining strategies to meet specs and goals.
• Support process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve challenges.
