Job summary

PMD Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Mill & Lathe Operator to support our precision aerospace manufacturing operations in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The role requires operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and 2-axis lathes, interpreting engineering drawings, performing dimensional inspections, and producing high-quality machined components.

This position emphasizes attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently while meeting aerospace manufacturing

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience.
• Experience operating CNC mills or lathes.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment.
• Basic understanding of cutting tools and materials.
• Ability to perform tool offset adjustments and basic machine setup.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines and lathes.
• Load and unload materials, fixtures, and finished components.
• Perform machine setups and tooling changes as qualified and assigned.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure part quality and efficiency.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final dimensional inspections.
• Maintain proper coolant levels and routine machine maintenance.
• Identify and report machine problems or tooling issues.
• Maintain organized manufacturing paperwork.
