Job summary

Kamatics Corporation is seeking a CNC Machinist (1st Shift) in Bloomfield, CT. The role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines to produce high-precision aerospace components, with opportunities across levels III–VI and a 6:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, Monday–Friday, plus overtime.

Ideal candidates have 2–6+ years CNC machining experience, strong reading of blueprints/GD&T, and solid shop math and measurement skills.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Machining or technical training certificate is preferred.
2–6+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
Proficient in shop math and precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machine tools to perform progressive machining operations.
Execute drilling, boring, milling, turning, honing, threading, and related processes per programs and drawings.
Manage tooling, fixturing, offsets, and console settings to ensure part accuracy.
Verify parts for conformance to GD&T drawings.
Identify and resolve machining, tooling, or program issues to maintain quality and productivity.
Maintain safety, quality, and environmental procedures; document production data.
Support continuous improvement to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
