Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA in Glastonbury, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist 2 to plan and perform various CNC turning and milling operations to machine a variety of metal parts.

The role requires reading blueprints and engineering instructions, setting up and operating lathes and milling machines, inspecting parts with precision tools, and maintaining records while adhering to safety standards. Evening shift Mon-Fri 5:00pm–1:30am; U.S. person with ITAR data knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience, aerospace preferred.
• Must be a U.S. person and able to work with ITAR data.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering instructions.
• Knowledge of speeds and feeds; G codes familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes and milling machines.
• Read from blueprints and engineering instructions.
• Measure and inspect with precision instruments.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools for precision machining.
• Secure fixtures and select tools and materials.
• Ensure proper lubrication and cooling of parts.
• Maintain in-process inspection records.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Report faulty conditions to supervision.
• Perform related duties as required.
