Job summary

Envisage Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Machinist in Kansas for aerospace manufacturing. You will set up and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes to produce high-tolerance parts from aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.

You will inspect parts in-process using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges, interpret complex drawings with GD&T symbols, and adjust tooling and offsets to maintain consistency over long runs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Proficient in in-process inspection with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes for aerospace components.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to determine machining sequences.
• Monitor tool wear and perform manual offset adjustments and tool changes.
• Troubleshoot basic G-code and M-code at the controller to optimize cycle times.
