Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate conventional and CNC machines for aircraft parts and components. The role requires handling 2, 3, 4, and 5 axis machining centers and CNC grinders, with strict adherence to blueprints and technical manuals.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years in aerospace or machinist work, two years specifically with CNC aviation, and the ability to pass a national background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years aerospace and/or machinist experience
• 2+ years CNC aviation experience
• Military depot/MRO facility maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform machining operations on conventional and CNC machine tools such as grinders, milling machines, lathes, and drills
• Operate 2,3,4, and 5 axis machining centers and CNC grinders
• Familiar with machine tool attachments for precision work
• Maintain accuracy per blueprints, drawings, sketches, and aircraft documents
• Produce assigned work to established standards
• Comply with safety rules in the production shop environment
• Other duties as assigned
