Job summary

D-J Engineering, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CMM Operator to join our Quality Assurance team on 2nd Shift. You will run pre-programmed CMM routines to perform dimensional inspection on precision aerospace components, ensuring all parts meet strict quality standards and engineering specifications.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience operating a CMM in a quality assurance environment (aerospace experience preferred).
• Basic knowledge of CMM code/routines to perform minor edits is a strong plus.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specifications, and GD&T callouts.

Responsibilities

• Setup, load, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using pre-written programs.
• Make minor program edits or adjustments as needed to ensure accurate measurements.
• Perform precision dimensional inspections on aerospace components and verify conformity to specifications.
• Interpret inspection results, printouts, and reports to determine part compliance.
• Maintain clean work areas and adhere to safety and AS9100 quality standards.
