Job summary

The United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a CMM Inspector (STARSHIP) to perform precision inspections on flight hardware and components, using CMMs, Romer arms, and PC-DMIS to verify conformance to drawings. You will read ASME Y14.5 drawings, support supplier QA, and maintain documentation.

The role requires 3+ years of inspection experience, familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001, and strong skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must work Mon-Fri with overtime as needed; ITAR compliance applies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of precision mechanical inspection experience.
• 3+ years of programming and running CMM or Faro Arm.
• Must read and interpret ASME Y14.5 GD&T drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect features and tolerances with appropriate gauges and tooling.
• Program and setup CMMs or Romer Arms to achieve required inspections.
• Review documentation and verify certifications against drawings.
• Inspect flight hardware at suppliers per engineering drawings and PO specs.
• Support inspection plans development and supplier corrective actions.
