Job summary

Belcan is seeking a detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join a precision aerospace manufacturing team in Farmington, CT. You will perform dimensional inspections on aerospace components using CMMs and precision instruments to ensure conformance to customer specifications.

The role requires interpreting drawings, reviewing inspection reports, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous quality initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of inspection or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic records.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM equipment to inspect incoming and in-process aerospace components.
• Follow procedures for setup, operation, and use of CMM inspection equipment.
• Review, analyze, and interpret CMM reports to verify specifications.
• Perform dimensional inspections on airfoils and precision aerospace parts.
• Use manual gauges and precision instruments to validate dimensions.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings and maintain inspection documentation.
• Maintain inspection records with accuracy and traceability.
• Escalate discrepancies and quality concerns to leadership.
• Meet productivity and inspection output requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow quality standards.
